The burlington performing arts centre advances its charitable mission by delivering meaningful arts experiences supporting local artists and fostering inclusive cultural engagement 1) bpac presented over 65 professional performances in 2024 across music theatre dance and comedy featuring canadian and international artists. Programming included culturally diverse and family-friendly events. Bpac maintained accessible ticket pricing to ensure broad community participation. 2) more than 4 350 students attended curriculum-connected performances through the education series with study guides and workshops provided. The golden ticket program offered free tickets to students and families facing financial barriers funded by community donations. 3) bpac partnered with local artists and organizations for inclusive programming including a free day of multicultural events for ontario culture days. A permanent legacy space supported public education on indigenous history and reconciliation. 4) the live & local initiative provided burlington-area artists with performance opportunities mentorship residencies and technical support to help build sustainable careers. 5) local not-for-profit groups accessed deeply subsidized rentals promotional support and staff guidance to deliver community-based art programming. 6) 110 volunteers contributed over 13 700 hours to support front-of-house roles and events helping bpac offer accessible and welcoming experiences.
