Burlington New Millennium Orchestra

The board continued to meet virtually and in person to plan programming for a live performance season. Major planning for a continuation of the successful 'Prodigiem' a program that featured the full orchestra and local prodigious young artists between the ages of 8 and 18. 'Prodigiem 2' will also include the world premiere of a clarinet concerto composed by BNMO Artistic Director Maestro Charles Cozens performed by world-renowned clarinetist Kornel Wolak. The prodigious young performers will also participate in this segment. The sound and light experience concert 'Mozart: Live!' in October 2023 was a great success. Also well received was 'Broadway Classics' in May 2024 featuring two local young rising star performers and a Canadian musical theatre veteran. New programming includes a concert with local performer Mark Masri in Oct 2024 and the continuation of Prodigiem in 2025. BNMO tickets have been offered to local organizations and as raffle prizes at other fundraising events. BNMO is still working with the local Musicians union to plan local school concert events.
