Burlington Food Bank

We operate a food bank serving residents of Burlington Ontario. During 2024 we employed 10 full-time employees and 6 part time /seasonal employees. Our volunteers worked a total of 13 757 hours. The Halton Food Connect project which commenced in 2022 is a joint project with Kerr Street Mission in Oakville and Halton Food For Life. The project is completely funded by Halton Region to address food security for Ontario Works clients within the Region of Halton. Eligible clients receive a healthy food box delivered to their homes typically including produce and frozen protein. Halton Region verifies eligibility each month and route maps are produced for the paid drivers to deliver the boxes that have been requested through an online portal.
