Other programs such as the Clothing Exchange and Little Book Libraries (18) where donated items are available at no cost to families increase access to needed resources. We partner with our local food bank to disseminate the After The Bell program which provides fresh healthy foods to families with young children during summer months. Volunteers typically assist Staff with the delivery of programs such as food and material preparation and cleaning. We have 13 volunteer members on our Board of Directors who typically meet once a month. In March 2024 we began to pilot a Food Security Program in partnership with the Department of Education and Maple Leafs Feed Opportunity which aims to support families with children experiencing food insecurity.
