Burin Area Food Pantry Inc.

The Burin Area Food Pantry Inc operates a food bank serving Burin and all surrounding communities including Fox Cove -Mortier Lewin's Cove Epworth Winterland Garnish Frenchman's Cove St Lawrence and Lawn. We also do a monthly Meals On Wheels Program and depending on funding provide frozen food hampers and gift cards to households with children several times per year. All programs are operated by a solid group of volunteers(16 in total currently) Food Banks Canada has an After the Bell program and e continue to participate on an annual basis by distributing 240 After the Bell food packs to children during the summer months. No new programs in 2024 but we have added fresh fruit and vegetables to the food hampers distributed to needy households on a monthly basis.
