Bruce Mines and District Historical Society

Our mandate is to continue maintaining refurbishing and restoring the museum building. We also continue to index repair and display artifacts as resources and time allow. A digitization project that began some years ago will continue in a new form as software has required updating. We also depend heavily on volunteers to support the activities at the museum - spring opening & fall closing for example. Transferring all our accession records to an updated digital repository was previously a new project will continue for some years. We are looking forward to having a summer student work several ongoing projects related to exhibit organization and archival organization in the new archival location. A project began to acquire the local Bruce Mines Historic United Church facility. The building will house the archival room and provide a venue for cultural musical performances and presentations.
