The british columbia schizophrenia society foundation (bcssf) is a not-for-profit organization incorporated under the society act of british columbia. Bcssf supports scientific research to advance the understanding treatment and implications of schizophrenia and related psychotic disorders through private donations grants and other funding partners including michael smith health research bc. Bcssf is closely aligned with the british columbia schizophrenia society. Bcssf is governed by a group of community volunteers. Orginally bcssf was known as the dr. Norma calder foundation and was incorporated under the society act in 1993. It was later renamed the mind foundation before becoming the british columbia schizophrenia society foundation in february 2013.
