The bcli carries out a variety of projects that aim to clarify simplify and modernize the law. It also provides education and research on legal issues having a particular significance for older adults. During the period the following projects continued: engaging people living with dementia in decision making parentage under part 3 of the family law act review artificial intelligence & civil liability renovate the public hearing project: pre-development public engagement & legal reforms to support housing supply supporting vulnerable victims and witnesses and reconciling crown legal frameworks. During the period the following projects started: escheat act modernization and indigenous courts.
