British Columbia Genealogical Society

The Society holds monthly meetings in personal and virtually and educational workshops to promote the study of genealogy. The BCGS Library Centre is open to members and the public three days a week. The Society compiles transcribes and publishes historical information by British Columbia members of the Society. The Society promotes the Study of Genealogy and the preservation of records. The Society is offering educational courses in the preparation of family histories. Currently indexing newspapers to allow access to historical genealogical information. The society has subscribed to commercial genealogical databases to facilitate access to genealogical information.
