Bridgewater Fire Department Band

The bridgewater fire department band has operated in the town of bridgewater since 1868. The band's primary role is a service band to the bridgewater fire department participating in parades concerts and town functions on behalf of the bridgewater fire department. The bfdb also participated in royal canadian legion events as well as supports efforts of the local construction engineering squadron with musical support. The bfdb preforms annuals at the lieutenant governor of nova scotia garden party free bandstand concerts in bridgewater and chester parades around nova scotia formal concerts. In addition the band hs small groups that are call upon to support local fundraising activities that are normally free of charge. The band produced a concert 'goosepool' in honor of the royal canadian air force's 100th anniversary.
