Bras D'Or Lake Biosphere Region Association

The mission of the blbra is to improve balance in the bras d'or lake biosphere by encouraging community capacity building conservation efforts and sustainable development. Activities include forest watch (forest monitoring program). Science curriculum project (integrated multidisciplinary inter-cultural curriculum resource for elementary schools) bras d'or watch (introduced residents and visitors to the unique bra d'or ecosystems) explore the bras d'or (annual festival celebrating and bringing awareness to the lake and biosphere) and bra d'or lake biosphere atlas (visual mapping to enable sharing of research data). We are working with funding from environment and climate change canada in conjunction eith eskasoni fish and wildlife commission to study water towers in the bras d'or lake watershed.
