About Black Opportunity Fund
Held Consultations and Townhalls to educate the public on issues affecting Black Canadians Black Entrepreneur Program to provide wrap around supports: business education financial literacy skill straining and other supports to help build their capacity and knowledge to operate successful and sustainable businesses. A Canada wide financing program aimed at entrepreneurs who had been recently declined lending by a Canadian financial institution. A Canada wide grant program for B3 focused on 2 of BOFs mandate areas: 1. Arts & Culture and 2. Criminal Justice Partnerships with other black community organizations in research and surveys in support of the improvement of the well-being of Black Canadians. Launched the B3 Capacity Building Program which includes a structured curriculum developed in partnership with the Black Canadian Fundraisers’ Collective (BCFC) Management Advisory Services (MAS) with resources from Imagine Canada (IC). This is for Not for Profit organizations. B3 organizations (Not for Profits) in the program will build their operational capacity. Other community partners will providing funding support for awards. Launched the BOF Women and Gender Identity Diversity Inclusion & Equity (DEI) targeted towards Charities.
