Big Water Society

Big water society provides community wellness programs and a venue for healthy youth activities in the remote community of atlin bc. A volunteer board of directors is responsible for overseeing the delivery of these programs and also the contract positions of a professional mental health & addiction therapist and executive coordinator. Big water society works with various government agencies. First nations and various other community groups. The society also provides an alcohol and drug-free facility for teens and other user groups such as the junior rangers literacy now and bc emergency health services to conduct seminars & workshops training exercises and professional development. Key objectives of big water society are enhancing community wellness and actively supporting healthy families and mental health. Big water society is also renting out the facility as an alcohol-free venue for all ages to attend musical and arts related events.
