PRISM Program supporting LGBTQ youth; Virtual Mentoring - 1 hour per week Studies show that mentoring can increase self-esteem and confidence enhance social skills discourage the use of drugs and alcohol diminish involvement with criminal behaviour. BBBS supports hundreds of young people in a variety of mentoring programs and through resources. By setting a positive example and building a developmental relationship a mentor plays an essential role in preparing our young people to reach their full potential.
