Bethany Care Society

Bethany care society (bcs) is one of western canada's largest not-for-profit providers of care housing and community services for seniors and persons with disabilities. Bethany provides services along the continuum from independent seniors housing to complex continuing care and community-based services. Bethany care society provides continuing care services across eight care centres in calgary airdrie cochrane red deer didsbury and sylvan lake. In addition bethany calgary operates 97 auxiliary hospital beds with the special program of alternate level of care as a sub-acute program and a young adult program (yap) that supports young adults (ages 18-60) with chronic complex medical diagnoses. A yap program is also offered at the red deer site a complex dementia care program that supports seniors or senior-like adults with diagnoses of dementia and an adult day support program at certain locations. Bcs also provides care services for three government owned care facilities in didsbury sundre and olds. Bethany owns and operates affordable and subsidized housing. In addition bethany offers life leases for independent seniors. Bethany also manages properties in the calgary area on behalf of the province of alberta as a housing management body (hmb) and one affordable housing property for another organization.
