1) To protect the environment for the benefit of the public by reducing pollution and by cleaning up or remediating polluted water - Schedule and organize community and individual cleanups on regular basis - often near rivers lakes or other waterways 2) To advance education by providing workshops and classes on subjects relating to environmental protection and marine litter awareness and by promoting lifestyle changes to help reduce plastic pollution. -Presentations at schools Girl Guides and the Marine Discovery Center 3) To undertake activities incidental and ancillary to the attainment of the above charitable purposes -Participated in local events to help them reduce carbon footprint and develop sustainable event practices - GoatFest and HopOn (more to come) 1) Adopt-A-Road program - This program in Waterloo Region allows community groups families or individuals to volunteer to clean up litter on designated regional roads. Beach Relief has adopted the road Lackner from Victoria St. to Ottawa Street and we hold regular community clean up events.
