1 cultivate and protect parks and protected areas ('conservation areas') within british columbia and to promote public engagement and involvement in conservation areas by receiving gifts funds and property to invest and administer and by distributing funds and property to 'qualified donees' (as defined in the income tax act) 2. Protect the environment by conserving or restoring ecosystems and biodiversity; 3. Advance education via: (a) public courses experiential learning seminars and guided tours to improve public knowledge about topics including outdoor safety health benefits of nature environmental stewardship and the history culture ecology and biodiversity of canada's natural environment; (b) publicly available scholarships bursaries and other financial assistance to pursue post-secondary education or skills training; (c) research on ecology biodiversity and conservation; 4. Promote and maintain public health by providing information about the physical and mental benefits of nature; 5. Establish administer and maintain public infrastructure situated within canada's national provincial and territorial park system to improve public access to nature; 6. Do all such other things incidential and ancillary to the attainment of the purpose and exercise of the powers of the society.
