Baycrest Academy for Research and Education

Baycrest academy for research and education ('bare') includes the rotman research institute a globally recognized research centre specializing in aging and brain function alongside the centre for education & knowledge exchange in aging a premier institution for innovative education in geriatrics brain health and aging. Bare integrates conducts and promotes research in neuroscience aging and brain health mobilizes knowledge for public benefit and develops educational programs through collaborative partnerships across various disciplines and sectors. Durng the previous fiscal period all the staff activities resources and infrastructure of rri and education (the 'program') remained within baycrest centre for geriatric care (bcgc). On june 5 2023 the board of bcgc approved the transfer of the program from bcgc to bare.
