About Baxter'S Harbour Pentecostal Holiness Church
Services were suspended as the church was small and the pastor was ill and died. For several years we had a regular discussions on how to revitalize but he appearance of several types of mold caused health inspectors to advice the building should be torn down . We did this and now have come to the conclusion we are abandoning plans for the construction of a new building on the previous hours. However the pentecostal holiness church of canada still owns the land which the church was constructed upon and an adjacent extension of that property is used as a burial ground for those that over multiple years have been affiliated with the church and is still made available as the current operating cemetery for survivors and family members of the previously widely attended church. We therefor decline to hold on to the charitable number for an actual church organization site. The municipality that governs tax issues that might apply to the property advises us the have approved a non-taxable status as it is now used as a cemetery and for all intents and purposes as an historic site remembering the many years that christians in baxter’s harbour to worship their god and faith in the lord jesus christ. This historic cemetery site is now under the guidance of hope centre family church in new minas which is also now the representative area for a pentecostal holiness church of canada congregation and two of its board members are pastor john keating and pastor jerry kendrick
