Batay Reena owns 16 fixed assets which are used exclusively for charitable purposes. Of the 16 fixed assets 15 are operational and 1 is under construction.. 1 of the operational fixed assets is a multi use residential building. The 15 residential buildings owned by Batay Reena contain beds which are occupied by persons with developmental disabilities who are clients of Reena a related charitable corporation. Batay Reena provides some of the housing for the benefit of Reena's clients. Reena itself provides residential programs in group home settings as well as in apartments for persons who are capable of living more independently. Batay Reena charges Reena below-market rates for the rental of its buildings which frees up revenue to fund Reena's charitable activities. The Corporation focuses its net earnings to acquire or build additional buildings all to be used exclusively for the charitable purpose of being residences for persons with developmental disabilities.
