Barrhaven Seniors' Council

We resumed almost all of our programs : discounted member meals on occassion; bridge; canasta; scrabble; and cribbage were offered on a weekly basis. We were able to rent space and support the barrhaven knitting group. In addition to support seniors in the community we provided space for teh ottawa heart institute mobile clinic to operate at our location - this providing local access to much needed heart screening. We offered both a driver education course for seniors (55+a;ove driver refresher course). Education sessions aon aging in place were held. A red cross emergency preparedness course was offered.
