About Balsillie School of International Affairs
The balsillie school of international affairs ('bsia' or the 'school') facilitates collaborative research among its faculty and students and conducts outreach activities guided by research priorities that the school has established including hosting events and workshops at the school. Bsia may facilitate publication of the work of its faculty and graduate students through occasional papers and other on-line publications. Such publications are subject to an impartial peer review process that employs the strictest of academic standards. Bsia offers executive short courses branded under the 'balsillie executive institute'. These courses are typically 4-days in length and are taught by bsia faculty and fellows. In september 2023 the bsia established the technology governance initiative (tgi) at the school with the assistance of a generous donation. The tgi includes the development of several new projects including the balsillie scholars program the balsillie case studies the balsillie survey and the establishment of several student-focused initiatives including paid internship support a technology governance summer school and an annual student policy challenge.
