Bad Dog Theatre Company

For over 40 years the award-winning Bad Dog Theatre Company has specialized in the art of unscripted comedy and improvised performances in Toronto while also providing excellent affordable and accessible improv training for thousands of people of all ages and experiences. Originating as Theatresports Toronto our alumni have included Mike Meyers Colin Mochrie (Whose Line Is It Anyway) Kids in the Hall Keanu Reeves and Lauren Ash (Superstore). Most recently Bad Dog’s priority is to present diverse voices and underrepresented communities on stages in and around Toronto. Our mission is to create top-quality performances and training for our audience performers and students to reflect the artistic value of improvised theatre and its ability to provide live shared experiences. Our vision is to transform the culture and perception of improvised theatre elevating the art form to unprecedented standards of success and professionalism. We have a rotation of 4 shows on weekly.This year we are excited to present the third annual Comedy on Queen Street Toronto’s only winter comedy festival that celebrates the holiday season from December 1st - 30th at the Assembly Theatre. This holiday-themed theatre popup will transport audiences into a Winter Wonderland where they can watch Bad Dog's award-winning comedy performed by Toronto’s best performers.
