Avens-A Community for Seniors

AVENS operates a senior campus with more than 100 employees including long-term care for 29 residents dementia care for 28 residents and independent living for seniors with 32 units of subsidized and unsubsidized housing. AVENS has approximately 50 part-time volunteers during various parts of the year. AVENS AGCO program was developed in 2020 with the addition of a greenhouse. Seniors living in elevated care and independently are encouraged to participate in growing food in the spring and summer encouraging community involvement and reducing social isolation. Currently under construction is a 102 unit facility on the campus to add additional seniors housing This project will be completed in the fall of 2024.
