Avalon Recovery Society

Peer support; provide non-residential drop-in facilities for women in recovery from substance abuse/addiction; provide resource information for social assistance alcohol/drug counselling and treatment; produce and distribute outreach brochures/newsletters; provide free childcare 12-2 pm weekdays; provide workshops/seminarsfor women in recovery; provide a clothing give-away program and a learning library of books on addiction/recovery. As an extension of our existing programs we started avalon online last year. Avalon online was developed as a response to covid-19 restrictions and the growing need for support during this time. Due to the success of the program it is expected to continue as long as there is a need. No new programs in current year.
