To support avalanche canada for so long as it remains a qualified donee under the income tax act (canada) by 1) providing grants and other forms of financial support from time to time and 2) prudently holding investing managing and administering any funds or assets of avalanche canada entrusted to it. To advance avalanche safety by providing program that prevent and minimize avalanche risk to the public. To advance avalanche education by 1) providing courses workshops seminars and conferences that improve avalanche safety for the public 2) providing scholarships bursaries and other forms of publicly available financial assistance for a) persons conducting academic research and studies relating to avalanche safety or education and b) individuals pursuing professional designation or training related to public avalanche safety or education. To provide funding by way of grant or financial assistance to qualified donees as defined by the income tax act.
