Autism Society of the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo

The goal is to establish a support network for the autism community in the regional municipality of wood buffalo. To provide information support groups and awareness to families individuals and professionals. Monthly support meetings are held every second sunday. Special events are held which are designed for children with autism. Books toys and sensory items are loaned to parents and caregivers allowing them to try items out prior to purchase. These items are also available for sale. Additionally virtual information sessions awareness day family events education inclusion bins (autism 101 for schools and employers) sensory room open to the public social respite information guidance adult supports supports to asd community and specialized camps for persons with asd.
