Assunnah Muslims Association

1) Operating religious affairs at the Mosque including 5 daily prayers Friday congregational prayer community iftar (fastbreaking) dinner during the month of Ramadan as well as Eid prayers and celebrations. 2) Providing Islamic educational classes and programs for men women and children including operating elementary Arabic language and Quran school on the weekends. 3) Providing youth and children activities extracurriculars book clubs sports initiatives and other events. 4) Offering services for women in the community including fitness classes workshops and support for new mothers. 5) Providing services and supporting the most vulnerable including at-risk youth newcomers and refugees and providing regular senior programs. 6) Providing social assistance in support of the needy and delivering monthly meals to shelters. 7) Partnering with community organizations to provide spiritual and educational programs & conferences and blood drives. 8) Hosted neighbourhood health and wellness hubs at our Centre in collaboration with the Ottawa Public Health. 9) Hosted educational financial and health workshops and seminars for seniors including a gardening club in the summertime.
