Arthouse for Children and Youth

ArtHouse is a Halton-based charitable organization that offers free programs to vulnerable children and youth from 7-17 most particularly to individuals from families who may not have access to arts-related activities. Since 2009 Arthouse has provided 875 programs to 11 743 participants at 90 locations throughout Burlington Halton Hills Milton and Oakville. Program Focus: Neighbourhood communities (e.g. subsidized housing cooperatives and hub programs) Agency partnerships (e.g. Rock CAS and HMC) High School alternative learning programs. During Fiscal 2024 ArtHouse ran fully live programming at 23 cost free sites throughout Halton. In addition to ongoing art-based programming ArtHouse has placed a strong emphasis on the art of cooking programs engaging young people in the education of healthy eating creative recipes and the opportunity to dine together. ArtHouse also continued with its 'Pathways to Possibilities' project with innovative workshops that offer youth ages 12-17 insights into career options.
