Ongoing are two programs: 1) restorative justice - bringing together offenders and victims to determine resoution and bring closure to criminal event. 2) community dispute resolution - assist community members find a resolution to a conflict. 24 volunteers act as facilitators and mentors. They work approximately 10 hours per case equally 300 hours or more for the past fiscal year. Support for success program funded by coast capital savings: youth aged 13-29 in parksville qualicum beach and rdn who are referred to restorative justice will be paired with a trained mentor. A mentor will foster a deeper more supportive relationship promoting personal development beyond the restorative justice process. Mentoring program - youth focused funding aimed at giving youth healthy minds improvement and educational success.
