Animal Welfare Foundation of Canada

The animal welfare foundation of canada (awfc) grants donated funds to qualified registered charities animal welfare organizations and other appropriate programs accross canada. Awfc's mission is to foster an enlightened ethic of animal care and ensure animals are treated with respect. Awfc grants support for research education and public outreach initiatives and program conception addressing the physical physchological and behavioural needs of all animals used in research entertainment and agriculture as well as compamion animals (pets) and wildlife. Recipients are selected for programs that will have a measurable positive impact on improving the lives and welfare of those animals they are seeking to influence. Awfc is led by a volunteer board of direcors composed of animal professionals from across canada who oversee the investment of donated assets in a sustainable manner to ensure funding resources are available to advance animal welfare initiatives across canada into the future.
