Animal Care Zone

1. Spay/Neuter and Vaccination Program: 392 stray dogs and cats were spayed/neutered and 526 stray dogs were vaccinated in this fiscal year 2. First Aid and Veterinary Care: 208 dogs/cats with urgent medical needs were provided veterinary care and our partners were supplied with medicine so they can continue to help animals on the streets 3. Compassion and Capacity Building: Further skill-development training was provided to our partners on how to care for street animals by veterinarians and vet-tech's. We helped community members feed more than 4700 street animals around rural India and Canada. 4. Natural Disaster/Emergency Response: We responded to 1 flood in India where we provided veterinary care and food to displaced animals. 5. Foster and Adoption for Stray and Abandoned Dogs and Cats: During this fiscal year we found 1 adoptive home for a homeless dog in need.
