The living active webinar program is a quarterly series focusing on the importance of regular physical activity and ways to improve health and fitness. This program is a process of knowledge translation enabling actions or behaviours to improve health and fitness levels. Presented by scholar-practitioners in the health and kinesiology fields the program targets health-related service providers and physical health educators and community organizations who support physically active initiatives. The physical activity subsidy program is a supportive health-related service to help lower the risk of many chronic disenses by rewarding and therefore encouraging physical activity engagement for people of all ages and abilities. An online application process is being finalized. This program will offer physical activity engagement awards up to $5000.00 to eligible municipalities villages first nations communities and not-for-profit local regional or provincial organizations in prince edward island.
