Minds in motion: provides physical social and cognitive stimulation to people with dementia and their care partners. Family education: opportunities include the 'living with dementia' workshop specialized presentations and the care4u conference. Professional education: health care professionals increase knowledge about caring for people with dementia through the asm's annual conference and workshops. Awareness: staff provides information about the warning signs of dementia and brain health to the public. Community outreach: relationships are built to ensure the needs of manitobans affected by dementia are met. Research: the alzheimer society of manitoba contributes to the alzheimer society of canada's reviewed research program. Dementia-friendly community initiatives: help people with dementia and the family and friends who assist them to feel included and supported in the places where they live work and play.
