1. To assist families caregivers and professionals with state-of-the-art strategies for effective care giving. 2. Provide information by mail public forums workshops and on the website. 3. Provide support groups for those living with alzheimer's and other forms of dementia and respite for their families and care partners. 4. Provide referrals to community services. 5. Maintain resources (collection of books videos etc.) throughout alberta and northwest territories for those interested in learning more about alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. 6. Fund research that targets improving the quality of life for those living with alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. 7. Fund research aimed at discovering the cause of the disease and development of treatment possibilities.
