A4c exists for the primary purpose of reducing the impact of poverty and where possible eliminating it all together for children youth and families. We have a highly developed and rigorously-tested personal and community development approach that emphasizes prevention equity and local leadership. We work collaboratively with community members through an asset-based community development lens to build thriving neighbourhoods where individuals can belong and contribute. A4c works every day not to bring programs to a community but through relationship to enable and coach community residents to contribute to their community by assuming roles of leadership in creating transformational change. Some of the programs ran are bridge to music mini chefs in-soccer intramurals running and reading tutoring young queens collective leadership intensive coffee and conversation parent wellness group and family sports and stories.
