Active Jewish Adults (aja) 50+

We relieve conditions associated with the aged who are experiencing loneliness and social isolation by providing over 100 social intellectual and recreational programs and activities per year: these programs and activities achieve this by: - creating an atomosphere which encourages a positive attitude towards ageing and recognizes the dignity and value of the individual - promoting independence and quality of life for older adults and seniors by providing a range of programs within a jewish milieu - offering intellectual social and physical opportunities that promote well-being in a variety of ways - providing information to members on programs and services available in the community for mature adults/seniors we encourage our members to get involved as volunteers in the planning and rendering of programs thereby acknowledging their value and the importance of their contribution to the health and welfare of the senior population. We currently have over 70 volunteers who are engaged in this way.
