Access Youth Outreach Services Society

Access Youth Outreach Services is a charitable not-for-profit specializing in providing outreach services and supports to youth ages 12 to 23 who reside in the Tri Cities BC region. Our flagship program Project Reach Out is a mobile youth centre that provides at-risk youth barrier-free access to food water clothing sexual health and personal hygiene supplies harm reduction supplies as well as counselling services and crisis intervention. Our Youth Gour-Made program is an after-school program that provides hands-on experience cooking the recipe of the week in addition to free employment certification in Food Safe and WHMIS. The Art Journaling Group gives youth participants an opportunity to discuss topics of conversation like consent and drug use in a safe and guided way while learning new art techniques that allow them to express their thoughts feelings and attitudes about the topic of conversation for the week. The Youth Empowerment Worker program is a trauma informed and harm reduction one-to-one case management program for youth navigating mental health issues. The Jr. Employee program involves hiring youth from our program to work for our programs in a peer mentorshipfashion where they gain specialized employment training and experiences.
