About Acadia Recreation Club Society
We maintain a hall and a community park. Hall rentals form the main source of revenue. We have other regular non profits that rent for meetings the municipality for 'town hall meetings' general public for birthday parties celebration of life services the dept of health puts on 3 accessible programs for seniors a church meets here on sunday mornings and we have 2 different yoga groups. The park has an accessible playground and swings used by the general public. We have walking trails gardens and open play space. We annually host snow days activities in feb. Canada day activities and the annual tree lighting several concerts over the summer. We have the sackville community gardens and the square roots program which address food security in the community we are hoping to open up an ice cream novelty hut in the summer of 2025 with popsicles and other frozen packaged products. We are applying for 4 summer students to operate the canteen from july – sept. We are also in the initial phase of celebrations for our 100th anniversary in 2026 and hoping to have an art installation multi cultural festival and an old fashion country fair with games from 1926
