Abbeyfield Polonia House Society

Abbeyfield Polonia House continues its work towards achieving its primary goal of establishing affordable accommodation for seniors of Polish heritage in the Ottawa area. We are in a planning stage and expect to implement our development process within several calendar years. To this end we undertake a wide range of preparatory activities such as: strengthening the organizational capacity developing a strategic plan and fundraising campaign; continue to build partnerships and participate in the community events to raise awareness about the project among seniors. We carry out outreach to the Polish community in Ottawa and liaise with local religious organizations to share information and to encourage volunteerism. We actively pursue options for a location for Polonia House.
