4 Valleys Volunteer Fire Department and Recreation Organization

The department was incorporated under the Societies Act of the Province of Nova Scotia on December 5 1978. Its main purpose is to provide fire protection services to the residents of Districts 1 2 and 4 of the County of Antigonish Nova Scotia; respond to fire alarms; attendance at motor vehicle collisions; conduct fire drills at schools and fire prevention programs/ education. The department now provides Rescue services over water and ice and is a designated Community Emergency Comfort Station.
