2 - Spirited People of the 1st Nations

The charity continued to provide a range of services and support to indigenous and 2-spirit peoples living with or at risk of hiv/aids hepatitis c and related co-infections with a focus on 2-spirit and indigenous folks. This included health consulting information advice and financial assistance to individuals and families as well as supportive care to those impacted. The charity also delivered educational programs to increase awareness and knowledge around hiv/aids among indigenous peoples fostering physical emotional mental and spiritual well-being. During the fiscal period the charity furthered its missionby nuturing the sacred roles of 2-spirit people and strengthening their communities. These efforts involved both advocacy and direct support for individuals dealing with the long-term impacts of colonial violence ensuring that they could thrive within their communities. Additionally the charity supported volunteers who played a key role in carrying out these programs.
