11095226 canada foundation o/a gift from the heart (gfth) is a canadian registered charity dedicated to providing no cost essential oral health care services to vulnerable individuals who face barriers accessing treatment. Our mission continues to grow in urgency as dental pain and infection remain one of the top reasons people visit hospital emergency departments-despite being preventable and treatable. This year gfth's focus is clear: saving lives-because no one should die from a toothache. We believe no one should be left untreated due to their financial status geographical location or lack of insurance. Through our mobile outreach programs pop-up clinics and partnerships with licensed oral health professionals we deliver life saving care including: urgent dental extractions and infection management; oral cancer screenings and education; access to preventative care and oral health supplies; navagation support for individuals unable to access government funding. While we pivoted during covid-19 to emphasize at-home oral cancer screening awareness this year we've expanded our reach to respond to the overwhelming demand for in-person emergency dental care. Our patients include low-income families seniors newcomers and working individuals who fall through the cracks of public dental programs. Every treatment we provide reduces suffering restores dignity and can literally save a life. With ongoing support we are committed to scaling our services building awareness and delivering compassion-driven care-one person at a time.
