YML's vision Achieving sustainable communities YML's Mission Advocating for First Nations People and other vulnerable groups YML has continues to provide social and affordable housing and trauma informed support services to marginalised people. YML provides the following programs. Flora House and Elsie House two shelters for women and their children escaping domestic and family violence, Dale Parker Place Supported housing for people roug sleeping and deemed as chronically homeless, YML assist clients to take take control of their lives and sustain tenancies, Reverend Charles Harris Diversionary Centre 50 bed sobering up facility for people engaging in public intoxication and at risk of incarceration and selfharm, Breaking the Cycle program assisting people who wish to move away from alcohol addiction, Townsville Family Violence Support Service assisting victim survivors (VS) and persons using violence (PUV) to reduce the impact of violence, Weebarra Thulgari Early education and mentoring support for young 78 year old First Nations childrens, Specialist Disability Accommodation Program supporting people with disablity with specialist housing. Karingal patients transition accommodation supporting patients travelling from rural and remote communities to access the Townsville University Hospital with temporary accommodation and support. YML currently manages 203 tenancies with over 500+ people a day receiving assistance through the programs managed by the organisation. YML provides a range of housing from long term community housing, transitional housing, short term housing and specialist disability housing.
