Young Neighbourhood Centre

Families were assisted through information and referral services, early intervention and prevention programs to support family wellbeing and functioning. We supported individuals and families in crisis throughout the year e.g. poor physical and/or mental health, family breakdown, isolation. Educational and social inclusion programs continued to contribute to the reduction of harmful behaviours and assisted in reducing incidents of abuse, neglect and out of home care. 1:1 support and groupwork was offered by way of counselling, education and role modelling around harm prevention, neglect and abuse by qualified family support and advocacy workers. Emergency/crisis support was provided in the form of essential items, vouchers, hygiene/toiletry products to those experiencing homelessness and/or financial distress/hardship.
