Young Men's Christian Association of Canberra Limited

We provide opportunities for children and young people to grow in body, mind and spirit through our work within the Early Childhood and Outside School Hour Care sector. We provide vulnerable children with the best opportunity to overcome adversities they face in their home environments, assisting vulnerable families to access short term childhood education and emergency care placements through our partnership program with the Community Services Directorate. We continue our commitment to the Recreational Activities for Intellectual Disabilities (RAID) basketball program which is run by student volunteers and Y staff. We provide welcoming, inclusive, and safe Student Accommodation to young student groups visiting Canberra to learn about Parliament and Civic Participation. We support young people s mental and physical wellbeing and enhance their social connection through our Y Sailing Programs and Paddle Hub. We are assessing new and different ways of delivering more positive social impact, providing social connections, meaningful careers for our young people, amplifying and empowering our young people and children s voices and delivering preventative health and community wellbeing programs in the coming year
