How Our Work in 2024 Helped Achieve Our Mission and Main Aims In 2024, Yallambee Aboriginal Culture and Community Advancement Inc continued to advance our mission of strengthening Aboriginal culture, improving community wellbeing, and creating pathways for social and economic empowerment. Our work included: Cultural preservation and healing activities connecting Elders and youth to share traditional knowledge, language, and bush medicine practices. Community wellbeing support providing essential goods, crisis assistance, and safe spaces for individuals and families. Yallambee Kids Learning Program, a culturally grounded initiative that provided afterschool and holiday sessions where children engaged in literacy, numeracy, art, storytelling, and cultural activities led by community members. This program not only supported educational development but also strengthened cultural identity and pride from an early age. Youth leadership and skills development programs that built confidence, cultural responsibility, and pathways to training and employment. Partnership and advocacy work to engage with government, service providers, and local organisations, ensuring Aboriginal voices shaped community solutions. By embedding cultural values into education, wellbeing, and leadership programs, we have strengthened identity, improved opportunities, and built capacity for lasting selfdetermination.
