Xavier Children's Support Network

At Xavier, we have a long and proud history and have been providing services for children with disabilities in Brisbane for over 70 years. We came from humble beginnings when during the 1940s, a group of Catholic professional and business men known as the Xavier Society purchased a property in Coorparoo to serve as a home for children who had suffered from polio. Xavier Home opened in 1949. We have been a part of the Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane since 2003. In 2019 and beyond, our mission is to enable families of children with high support needs to maintain an appropriate quality of life in a family and community environment. To deliver on this we continually evolve our services in consultation with our families and in partnership with other community organisations, to provide the support that our children and families need. We are proud to work with families throughout the greater Brisbane region.
