WHG works to prevent family violence in the Grampians region through leading an alliance of 140 organisations and clubs committed to this addressing the causes of family violence, providing education and training and to hundreds of participants annually. WHG is committed to reconciliation with First Nations people and runs a First Nations Health Equality Program to enable self determined solutions to improve health and wellbeing. WHG trains and supports women from migrant and refugee backgrounds, women with disabilities, older woman and LGBTQI+ women to share their lived experience of discrimination and education to improve service delivery. WHG undertakes research and education to improve sexual and reproductive health services for women in rural and remote areas. WHG promotes partnership and service integration across family violence agencies in the Grampians WHG undertakes health promotion, training and education on family violence and gender inequality
