Over 2024, we ran a number of events, projects and programs, including the following: Continuing professional development seminars which are focused on issues relating to women and the law and women in the profession. Mentoring program for both women lawyers and law students by women lawyers. A full and extensive calendar of social events to bring women lawyers together, such as monthly coffee events for both members and nonmembers and monthly members lunches with esteemed guests from the legal profession; The preparation of submissions for law reform inquiries (recent submissions are listed on our website). The development and promotion of best practice guidelines for workplaces to remove barriers to women achieving seniority in the profession and promoting closing of the gender pay gap. Celebrating the achievements of women in the profession through our flagship event the annual Honours Dinner, which incorporates our Woman Lawyer of the Year Awards; Working with other organisations such as Australian Women Lawyers and the Law Society of WA on projects to promote equality for women in the law.
